New Punjab school timings for winter 2025 announced by the government in all the public and private schools in the province. The new school timing reported to take effect immediately and will continue to exist until March 31, 2026, according to the Punjab school timing notification.
According to the School timing notification today 2025 Punjab government, the amended hoursq implemented to have a hassle free academic schedule in the winter season.

Under the new timetable:
- Boys’ single-shift schools will operate from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM, Monday to Thursday, and close at 12:30 PM on Fridays.
- Girls’ single-shift schools will run from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, and end at 12:15 PM on Fridays.
For double-shift schools:
- The first shift for boys will run from 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM, ending at 12:30 PM on Fridays.
- The second shift will continue from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and on Fridays, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Similarly,
- Girls’ double-shift schools will start the morning shift at 8:30 AM and end at 12:30 PM.
- Second shift will run from 12:45 PM to 4:45 PM. On Fridays, classes begin from 1:45 PM to 4:45 PM.
School Education Department published the Punjab school timing notification and it is certain that the decision, meant to shield students against cold weather so that education is effective in winter. As a recommendation, parents and school administrations in Punjab should stick to the new timings in all the educational institutions.
