The Private Schools Association (PSA) in Sindh has intensified its call for the cancellation of ongoing matriculation exams in Karachi due to alleged mismanagement issues. They are urging that all matriculation exams organized by the Matriculation Board in Karachi should be deemed null and void, with new exams to be arranged promptly.
Chairman Haider Ali, speaking at a press conference in Karachi, expressed serious concerns about the questionable conduct of the board-conducted matriculation exams. He specifically criticized the Deputy Controller of Examinations of the Matriculation Board for failing to oversee the examination arrangements effectively.
Ali highlighted the distressing situation where over one and a half million students are currently taking exams with inadequate monitoring at examination centers. He pointed out instances where students are compelled to take exams outdoors, without proper facilities, raising doubts about the fairness and integrity of the examination process. This, he emphasized, jeopardizes the futures of hundreds of thousands of students, including both boys and girls.
The Chairman of Private Schools in Sindh demanded the immediate removal of the Controller of Examinations and called for the cancellation of all previously conducted papers. He further proposed rescheduling the exams to take place 15 days later to address the ongoing issues effectively.
Moreover, reports have emerged indicating that apart from mismanagement, examination papers are being leaked on social media platforms before the scheduled exam times. This additional concern deepens worries about the integrity and fairness of the examination process.
