The much-anticipated Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 retake in Sindh is set to take place on Sunday, December 8. The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Sukkur has taken the lead in organizing this crucial examination, ensuring all preparations are complete for a smooth process.
To accommodate candidates across Sindh, IBA Sukkur has arranged multiple test centers. Karachi will host three centers, while others have been established in Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Larkana, and Nawabshah, offering students ease of access.
This decision comes after the Sindh High Court (SHC) nullified the initial MDCAT held earlier this year, citing irregularities. On October 26, the court ruled that the previous test system was compromised and directed a re-test within a month. Representatives from the Sindh government, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), and Dow University agreed on re-conducting the exam under strict PMDC guidelines.
Earlier, Dow University released the MDCAT results on September 30, with 22,366 candidates passing the test—a pass rate of 58.79%. However, following investigations and legal proceedings, the results were voided to ensure transparency and fairness for all aspiring medical and dental students.
The upcoming retake provides students with another chance to showcase their abilities in a fair and transparent environment. For candidates, this is a pivotal moment in their academic journey, with hopes high for a seamless and credible examination process.
As the date approaches, students are urged to stay updated with official announcements and prepare thoroughly for this significant opportunity.
