The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) in Islamabad has announced new school and college timings, set to start from August 5, when schools reopen after the summer break. The new schedule aims to streamline operations and adapt to local needs.
For single-shift institutions, classes will begin at 7:30 am and end at 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, with Friday classes ending earlier at 12:30 pm. Evening shift schools will run from 2 pm to 7 pm on weekdays and from 2:30 pm to 7 pm on Fridays, with no breaks in between.
Montessori and Prep classes will operate from 8 am to 12 pm, Monday through Friday. Former F.G. Colleges have slightly different timings, starting at 8:30 am and ending at 2 pm or 4 pm from Monday to Thursday, and at 12:30 pm on Fridays.
This adjustment follows an earlier announcement by the Federal Ministry of Education, which extended the summer vacations for Islamabad schools and colleges until August 4 due to weather conditions.
These changes aim to ensure a smooth transition back to school while considering the well-being of students and staff. Stay updated with the latest education news on our website.
