Following a week-long hiatus prompted by the general elections, academic facilities across Pakistan have resumed regular operations as of Monday.
The closure, spanning from February 6 to 9, affected both public and private educational institutions nationwide.
It’s worth noting that February 3 and 4 fell on a weekend, with February 5 observed as a public holiday for Kashmir Day. Furthermore, with February 10 and 11 coinciding with the weekend, the shutdown extended for a total of nine days.
Initially, schools in Punjab had adjusted their schedules, commencing classes at 9:30 am due to prevailing fog and smog conditions until February 3. However, with the resumption on Monday, they have reverted to their standard timing of 8:30 am.
This reopening brings a sense of normalcy to the academic landscape following the temporary disruption caused by the electoral process. Students, teachers, and administrators alike are now back in full swing, ready to resume their educational pursuits.
