Current School Timings (Effective until April):
For boys’ schools across Lahore and other cities in Punjab, regular classes are scheduled from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Simultaneously, girls’ schools will run classes from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm.
Friday timings for boys’ schools are set from 8:30 am to 12:15 pm, while for girls’ schools, it is 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
Ramadan 2024 Anticipations:
With Ramadan expected to commence in Pakistan on March 11 or 12, there is speculation of further adjustments to school timings during this holy month. Traditionally, during Ramadan, both government and private schools in the region have altered their schedules.
Last year’s Ramadan schedule included classes starting at 7:30 am from Monday to Thursday, concluding at 12 pm. Fridays had a slightly shorter schedule, with classes from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. Double-shift schools also had morning classes beginning at 7:15 am and 12:30 pm.
While specific details for Ramadan 2024 are pending approval, it is anticipated that schools may open at 7:30 am during the holy month, mirroring the adjustments made in previous years.
