Free Travel for Students Across Punjab
One of the key features of the Punjab Student Card is the provision of free public transport. Students will be able to travel free of cost across Punjab by showing their student card. This benefit is expected to significantly ease the financial burden on students, especially those commuting from remote or underprivileged areas.
Access to Scholarships and Academic Support
With the launch of the Student Card Punjab 2025, students will also become eligible for national and international scholarships. The initiative aims to streamline scholarship disbursement by using the card as a centralized digital identity. The Punjab government will collaborate with educational institutions and support organizations to ensure smooth execution.
Digital Profiles and Career Development
Each student card will include a digital academic profile, documenting the student’s educational performance and co-curricular achievements. This data will be compiled into a centralized student database, which can later be used for career guidance and admissions to higher education institutions. CM Education & Eminence Card
As part of the broader student support program, CM Maryam Nawaz has also introduced the CM Education & Eminence Card. Students who secure over 80% marks will be awarded a CM Eminence/Star Card as recognition of academic excellence, encouraging a competitive and merit-based educational culture in Punjab.
