Punjab University has once again postponed its midterm exams, extending the delay by another week. According to a notification issued by the university, the exams that were set to begin on November 25 will now take place next week.
A university spokesperson clarified that while exams are delayed, regular classes will continue as scheduled. The teaching process will proceed either online, in person, or through a hybrid system, depending on the arrangements made by the respective Heads of Departments (HoDs).
This marks the second time in recent weeks that Punjab University has rescheduled exams. Previously, exams were postponed due to the worsening smog situation in the region, which has caused significant disruptions. At that time, the administration also moved classes online and advised staff to work from home. Meetings were held virtually to ensure continuity without compromising health and safety.
Meanwhile, in another development, all educational institutions in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been ordered to close on Monday due to ongoing protests by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The decision reflects the challenging circumstances currently affecting academic schedules across the country, as both environmental and political issues take center stage.
Students and staff are advised to stay updated through official notifications as these disruptions evolve.
