New Timings for Schools in Punjab
The notification, issued by the Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education Department, states that the new timings will be effective immediately and will remain in place until October 15, 2024. As per the revised schedule, schools will operate from 07:30 am to 11:30 am, Monday to Saturday, without any breaks.
The notification further clarifies that the timings may be adjusted at the district level to cater to the specific needs of the target population. Any changes in the school timings are to be updated on the Non-Formal Education Management Information System (NFEMIS) portal by the respective districts.
