Karachi Commissioner Syed Hasan Naqvi has confirmed that all schools in Karachi will remain open on Thursday, August 29. Despite earlier confusion, Commissioner Naqvi clarified in a statement that no official decision has been made to close schools across the city.
The situation arose when the Deputy Commissioner of the Central District initially announced that schools in the Central District would be closed due to expected weather conditions. However, this notification was quickly retracted after a revised advisory from the Meteorological Department and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority indicated that the weather was not severe enough to warrant school closures.
As of now, students and parents are advised to proceed with their regular schedules, as all educational institutions in Karachi will operate as usual on August 29. Authorities remain vigilant and are closely monitoring the weather situation to ensure the safety of students and staff.
