In response to the ongoing weather conditions, the Sindh Education Department has officially extended summer vacations for schools across the province. The new reopening date is set for August 15, 2024.
Extended Summer Break Announced
Due to the high temperatures and anticipated heavy rainfall, the Sindh Education Department, under the directives of Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, issued a notification extending the summer break. Initially scheduled to conclude earlier, the vacations have now been prolonged until August 14, 2024.
Independence Day Celebrations to Continue
Despite the extended holidays, activities and programs related to Pakistan’s Independence Day on August 14 will proceed as planned. All private and public schools are encouraged to organize events and extracurricular activities to celebrate the occasion.
New Academic Year to Begin on August 15
Following the extended break, the new academic year in Sindh will commence on August 15, 2024. Schools across the province will reopen, welcoming students back to their classrooms for a fresh start.
