Schools reopen in Sindh, KP, and Balochistan after summer vacation

Karachi: Schools across 3 provinces reopened today after long summer vacation.

In Sindh, schools reopened after summer vacation of two and a half months. In mid-May 2018, Sindh Government announced summer holidays due to Ramadan. Earlier, the vacation was announced till July 15 that later extended till July 31 due to Pakistan Election 2018.

In Balochistan, schools also reopened after summer vacation. Balochistan Education Department revealed that schools are reopened in 17 districts from today. Jhal Magsi, Jaffarabad, Gwadar, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Turbat, and Lasbela are among some of the districts. Schools in KP are also reopened from today.

Some education experts and analysts believe that the government should not extend the summer vacation of more than 2 months. They believe that it results in the loss of precious time of students. However, government should engage students in learning activities during vacations to effectively utilize their time.
