Sindh Govt Scholarship 2025: Rs25,000 Grant for Minority Students Announced

In a significant move to promote educational inclusivity, the Sindh government has announced a scholarship program offering financial assistance to students from minority communities across the province. The initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Minority Affairs Sindh, aims to support students facing financial constraints in pursuing their education.

Eligibility Criteria for Sindh Scholarship 2025

According to the official announcement, students who passed their examinations last year with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply. Additionally, the applicants’ parents must have a monthly income of no more than Rs35,000 to qualify for the scholarship. Each selected student will receive a financial grant of Rs25,000.

This initiative underscores the Sindh government’s commitment to ensuring that financial challenges do not prevent students from continuing their studies. By providing direct financial assistance, the program aims to empower students from minority communities and encourage academic success.

Educational Support for Children of Convicted Prisoners

Alongside this scholarship program, the Sindh government has recently launched Pakistan’s first-ever educational initiative for the children of convicted prisoners. This program, executed by the Education Department in collaboration with the Sindh Prisons Department and Paigham-e-Pakistan, guarantees free education from primary school to university level for the children of more than 4,600 convicted inmates across the province.

Sindh’s Minister for Education and Mines & Minerals Development, Sardar Ali Shah, and Minister for Prisons, Hasan Ali Zardari, attended the program’s launch event. Speaking at the ceremony, Sardar Ali Shah emphasized that the state must act as a guardian to ensure the rights and future of children who have committed no crime.

Impact of the Scholarship Program

The Sindh government’s recent initiatives highlight its commitment to educational inclusivity and social welfare. By supporting minority students and children of incarcerated individuals, these programs aim to break the cycle of poverty and ensure a brighter future for deserving students.

Eligible students interested in the Rs25,000 scholarship program are encouraged to check with the Department of Minority Affairs Sindh for the application process and deadlines.
