In an effort to ensure the smooth conduct of matriculation and intermediate examinations, the Sindh government has implemented Section 144 across the province, including Karachi. This move is aimed at maintaining order and security during this crucial examination period.
According to the notification issued by the Home Department, entry into examination centres will be restricted to authorized personnel only. Unauthorized individuals will not be permitted to enter the premises to prevent any potential disruptions.
Furthermore, students will not be allowed to use mobile phones or any other electronic devices during the exams. The display of weapons and the operation of photocopy machines within examination centres have also been prohibited.
In addition to these measures, senior superintendents of police across Sindh districts have been directed to ensure strict security protocols during the examination period. This includes increased surveillance and monitoring to deter any untoward incidents.
The decision to enforce Section 144 was based on the recommendation of the Department of Universities and Boards, highlighting the government’s commitment to a secure and fair examination environment.
