Winter Vacation in Pakistan 2025 Announced for All Provinces: Check Location-Wise Dates!

Winter vacations have been announced across Pakistan as cold weather, fog, and snowfall affect daily life. The Federal Directorate of Education confirmed holidays for Islamabad schools, while Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa released separate schedules.

The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has confirmed winter vacations for all educational institutions operating under the federal system in Islamabad. According to the official notification, model schools and colleges will close from December 26 to January 3.

The first day of classes is entailed on Monday, January 5, 2026, since January 4 is a Sunday. The ruling is in tandem with safety issues in the country regarding weather.

The education authorities mentioned dense fog, low temperatures and snowfall as the major factors influencing the cause of winter vacation in Pakistan 2025. These conditions still affect the transit and normal running of schools particularly at the northern and mountainous areas.

Authorities claimed that the measure will help to safeguard students, educators, and employees at the most dangerous time of the winter.

Winter Holidays in Punjab 2025

The Punjab government has announced winter holidays in Punjab 2025 from December 22, 2025, to January 10, 2026. All public and private schools will follow this schedule. Educational activities across Punjab will restart on January 10.

Sindh Winter Vacations Schedule

In Sindh, both public and private institutions will observe winter vacations from December 22 to December 31. Schools and colleges across the province will reopen on January 1, 2026.

KP Announces Separate Winter Zones Schedule

Winter holidays were announced in khyber pakhtunkhwa according to climate zones. Schools in the summer zoning will shut down between 1 st January to 15 th January. In Pakistan 2025, winter institutions will have a prolonged winter vacation that will begin on December 22, 2025 and will end on February 28, 2026.

Since now winter holidays are guaranteed across the country, parents are advised to keep reopening dates in mind. Educational leaders were encouraged to communicate early so that families are not confused about traveling and school plans.
