Winter Vacations Punjab Schools 2025 Announced for All Government and Private Institutions

Winter holidays in Punjab schools 2025 announced from 22nd December to 10th January. During this time, both the private and the government schools will be closed. The move is meant to protect students against cold-related illnesses and to prepare them to be better equipped to attend the following academic session. Adjusted timings were also set for earlier months.

The Punjab Education Minister, Rana Sikandar Hayat, officially announced Winter vacations Punjab 2025 for all schools across the province. The holidays will start on 22nd December and end on 10th January. Schools will reopen immediately after this period.

Both private and government schools will remain closed. The decision focuses on student health amid the severe winter. Authorities expect students to return safely and prepared for the next academic term. Teachers and parents have been advised to plan schedules around the closure.

The Punjab government had earlier this year changed the school hours because of increased levels of smog. The notification stated that no school was allowed to open before 8:45 AM. This measure supplemented the winter vacation in guarding the students against environmental risks.

According to officials, Winter vacations Punjab schools 2025 are to ensure that students are exposed to cold related diseases are minimal and that enough rest time is provided before the exams and before new sessions begin. During the break, schools will be carrying curricular and extracurricular activities online or by way of guided home assignments.
