A Broadway musical will be made based on the life of the King of Pop, Micheal Jackson.
Producers working on the project announced it without revealing any name, aiming for premiere by 2020.
The play will be written by playwright Lynn Nottage, a two-time Pulitzer winner. The late Micheal Jackson’s estate will be co-producing this Broadway musical.
Lynn Nottage is most known for his play “Sweat” which had most recently won acclaim. Sweat is based on blue-collar town in Pennsylvania where ethnic tension erupt between immigrants.
The musical will also have songs released by the late King of Pop while he was living. The choreography will be directed by Christopher Wheeldon. Wheeldon is notable for his work on Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and Shakespeare’s “The Winter’s Tale.”
People have high expectations from the musical play portraying Micheal after involvement of his estate in the production.
The late King of Pop, Micheal Jackson, who passed away in June of 2009 was the most sensational pop artist. People still listen to his tunes and artists take inspiration from his style of singing, incorporating it into their own.
Tunes like beat it, billy jeans, smooth criminal and others still are memorized by all the music lovers around the world. His album “thriller” that he released in 1983 is still the top-selling album of all time.
