Disney Aladdin – Production House to Release Live-action Remake Next May
Disney Aladdin has caused a storm on social media, ever since it released its first teaser on Friday. Many fans are excited to have the street rat back, and this time in the flesh (live-action).
Not only that, but the production house has released the month in which the film will hit the cinemas. The live-action adaptation will see the light on May, next year.
The ancient tale of Aladdin, a penniless market boy who, with a little help from a genie in a magical lamp, ends up marries the Princess Jasmine, has dazzled millions of people worldwide. It is still popular among many fans.
Disney also revealed that the remake, which is shot London and Jordan, has been helmed by Guy Ritchie and stars Hollywood’s Will Smith as the Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin and Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine.
The best part is that Will Smith is a huge fan of the film himself. He recently took his excitement to Instagram to share his enthusiasm in front of his fans, for his latest role:
The teaser trailer was released by Disney on YouTube to spread the word of its new production. It revealed that the film score includes new songs as well as re-recordings of the original songs written by Alan Menken and lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice.
