India’s famed singer and musician, Yo Yo Honey Singh, recently shared a personal revelation about his spiritual journey before gaining global fame. In a candid interview with Indian media, Honey Singh disclosed that, before his rise to stardom in 2011, he explored various religions, including Islam. However, once he achieved success, he veered off the righteous path.
Honey Singh made a triumphant return to the music industry after nearly a decade with his latest album, “Glory.” The album’s success reignited his fame, leading him to reflect on the highs and lows of his career during the interview. He revealed that a school incident had initially led him to atheism, despite later studying Sikhism and Hinduism. In 2007, at the age of 24, he moved to Mohali, where his curiosity about religion deepened.
Between 2007 and 2011, Honey Singh encountered several spiritual figures and delved into the teachings of Islam. He sought guidance from religious scholars and Sufi saints, learning about prophets Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (PBUH), expanding his knowledge and perspective.
However, once fame came calling in 2011, Honey Singh admitted that he lost his way. Instead of expressing gratitude for his success, he became entangled in negative influences. It was only when he fell ill that he realized the error of his ways and returned to faith, finding solace and clarity in spirituality once again.
