Janhvi Kapoor, who will debut in movie ‘Dhadak’, reveals why mother, Sri Devi didn’t want her to become an actress.

Janhvi Kapoor is the daughter of late actress Sri Devi and has steered media attention towards her. After the death of the legendary actress, Janhvi has received even more attention.
The rising star just gave her first ever cover for the magazine, Vogue India. In an interview taken by the producer, Janhvi told why her mother didn’t want her to be an actress.
The Dhadak Star said her mother, Sri Devi was more relaxed about sister Khushi getting into films. She said her mother thought Janhvi was naïve, that she wasn’t thick-skinned enough.
Janhvi added that her mother wanted us to live a more relaxed life. She also said that her mother loved acting but it can be very intense.
The ‘Dhadak’ star also gave insight on growing up on the sets of Bollywood. She said that she learned on the sets and received her education on them too. Janhvi said that she excelled in History and English but was not that good in other subjects. She added that when she started acting she knew this was her calling.
Talking about her half siblings, brother Arjun Kapoor and sister Anshula, she said death of her mother brought them closer. She added that being closer together has brought comfort to her father, producer Boney Kapoor.
Janhvi Kapoor also said that she still misses her mother a lot, and that her death has left a void in her life.
