Famous transgender dancer Mehak Malik has landed in legal trouble after a case was registered against her for performing an allegedly vulgar dance at a private mehndi (henna) function. The incident reportedly took place in a village near Mandi Yazman, and the news has quickly gone viral on social media.
According to media reports, the FIR names Mehak Malik along with 35 other individuals for violating the Amplifier Act during the ceremony. Despite the FIR being registered, no arrests have been made so far in connection with the case.
As per the First Information Report (FIR), Mehak Malik was invited to perform at a private mehndi ceremony where she allegedly danced to vulgar songs while wearing revealing attire. The FIR further claims that during the performance, participants threw currency notes at Mehak Malik, contributing to the overall objectionable environment.
The FIR mentions 10 people by name, while another 25 individuals remain unidentified. Interestingly, a report by the popular news website The Current revealed that some government employees, including a police constable, were also in attendance at the event. However, sources say none of the government officials have been named in the FIR yet.
