Actress Dananeer Mobeen will make her debut in Mera Lyari, alongside senior actress Samia Mumtaz. The film was initially titled Behnaz but was renamed Mera Lyari to better reflect the city’s identity. The release date is set for next month, and it is expected to reach a wide audience.

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon stated on X (formerly Twitter) that Mera Lyari highlights the city’s peace, development, and pride. He said the Indian film is propaganda, while Pakistan is releasing its film Mera Lyari to show the true, cultural, and positive side of Lyari.
