Bollywood personality Rakhi Sawant, who also goes by the name Fatima after embracing Islam, has once again performed Umrah in Makkah during September 2025. The Indian dancer is currently residing in Dubai and shared a new video on Instagram showing her reciting the Talbiyah and praying for her family, followers, and country. In the same video, she appealed to Bollywood actor Salman Khan to visit Makkah and perform Umrah.
Rakhi Sawant Umrah Journey and Religious Conversion
Rakhi Sawant accepted Islam in 2022 and changed her name to Fatima. After her conversion, she married Adil Khan Durrani and publicly confirmed her new faith in early 2023. Her first Umrah took place in June 2023, after she faced visa issues linked to her religious conversion. These problems were subsequently fixed, and she now can go on Umrah, which she did at the start of 2025, and in September 2025.
In her latest announcement, Rakhi Sawant revealed plans to send 20 people, including 10 Pakistanis, to Makkah for Umrah. She remains in Dubai to avoid arrest in an ongoing obscene video leak case filed against her in India. Despite the legal matter, her repeated Umrah visits continue to draw attention across Pakistan, India, and the Gulf region.
