A serious criminal case involving allegations of rape, blackmail, and unlawful confinement has been registered against popular YouTuber Rajab Butt, social media figure Man Dogar, and three others at Nawab Town Police Station in Lahore.
The FIR was lodged by a social media activist, identified as ‘A’, who claims that the incident began after she connected online with Salman Haider, cousin of Rajab Butt. According to the complaint, Salman allegedly built a relationship of trust and later invited her to a residence on Raiwind Road, where she was reportedly drugged and raped.
The complainant further alleges that Salman Haider recorded indecent videos during the assault and used them to blackmail her over time. Matters worsened when her sister, identified as ‘P’, was also shown one of the videos. The sisters then decided to confront Salman.
According to the FIR, upon reaching Salman’s residence, the women were allegedly forcibly confined in a room by Rajab Butt, Man Dogar, Jawad Haider, Jahangir Butt, and Salman Haider. It is claimed that Jawad Haider took away their mobile phones, erased all data, and issued threats before throwing them out of the house.
Law enforcement authorities have confirmed that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation to verify the details of the allegations and determine the individual roles of the accused parties.
