In a recent interview with a private TV Channel, renowned artist Seffy Soomro claimed that he was misled about the alleged disappearance of his artworks. Soomro clarified that he had not issued any notice to the Frere Hall administration regarding the missing paintings, which reportedly vanished after an exhibition at the venue in 2017.
Soomro expressed surprise upon learning that his paintings were purportedly missing, asserting that no one, including himself, had sent representatives to Frere Hall in his name. He has now decided to formally request the return of his artworks and seek compensation from the Frere Hall administration.
The situation escalated when, shortly after the reported theft, Soomro’s paintings made an appearance in a drama, prompting him to file a police complaint. The theft complaint was lodged at Frere Police Station, highlighting the ongoing confusion surrounding the fate of Soomro’s valuable artworks.
