Sridevi Awarded Best Actress at National Film Awards


NEW DELHI: Bollywood actress Sridevi after her death has been bestowed the National Film Award in the category of ‘Best Actress’ on Monday for her role as a mother in the movie Mom. The veteran actress had played the role of a mother who takes up justice in her own hands to take revenge what happens to her step-daughter.

Famous Pakistani actress Sajal Ali was playing the role of the step-daughter while the Pakistani Actor Adnan Siddique played the role of Sridevi’s husband in the movie which was directed by Ravi Udyawar.

The legendary veteran actor Sridevi was found dead after she was drowned in a bathtub in a hotel of Dubai when she had come back from a party.

The actor had said in an interview just before her untimely demise said that she was proud to have played the main character of a film like Mom and that she was very happy about the positive reviews it had received.

Sridevi had returned to Bollywood industry after a hiatus with the movie English Vinglish, before that she had played various roles in Hindi movies and shows.
