British Classic ‘Downton Abbey’ will be on Silver Screen


The Masterpiece classic ‘Downton Abbey’ is in making.

TV series sets in the anecdotal Yorkshire estate of Downton Abbey of 1912 and 1926, delineates the lives of the aristocratic family and their local workers in the post-Edwardian times
“Downton Abbey” the movie is in making.

New York-based, Focus Features has set creation for the silver screen production with British-based Carnival Films.

“It was our dream to bring the millions of global fans a movie and now, after getting many stars aligned, we are shortly to go into production,” said Gareth Neame, Carnival´s executive chairman.

No plot twist has been revealed and date of release yet be announced.

The first key cast, including Michelle Dockery, Maggie Smith, and Hugh Bonneville are set to repeat their role from TV series in the cinema production, Hollywood entertainment news site revealed.
Director and screenwriter Julian Fellowes has written the screenplay and will co-produce, it further added.

“Downton Abbey” became one of Britain´s biggest ever drama exports with an international audience of around 120 million.
