Pakistani actor Yasir Hussain responded to the ongoing media attention surrounding actress Humaira Asghar’s matters. He criticized the media for focusing on individual controversies while ignoring systemic problems such as delayed payments and disrespect toward senior actors.
In a recent statement shared on social media, Hussain called for timely payments and dignity for veteran actors, particularly referencing Mohammad Ahmed, who has worked in television for decades. Hussain stressed the importance of recognising artists during their lifetime instead of expressing regret after their passing.

“Let’s raise our voices today for their rightful and timely payments and dignity, rather than wait for regrets tomorrow,” Hussain said.
This statement follows earlier remarks by Mohammad Ahmed, who had revealed that many actors in Pakistan face routine delays in payments and mistreatment from production houses. He stated that artists often have to chase production teams for dues, despite completing their projects professionally.
Hussain’s remarks have added to the ongoing conversation around accountability in Pakistan’s media and entertainment sectors, calling for concrete steps to improve working conditions for veteran performers.
