9th Muharram Juloos 2025 Karachi Concludes Peacefully at Hussainia Iranian Imambargah

The main 9th Muharram juloos 2025 in Karachi concluded peacefully at Hussainia Iranian Imambargah. The procession had started from Nishtar Park to pay tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions. It passed through Numaish, Saddar, Radio Pakistan, Jama Cloth, Denso Hall, and Kharadar.

Before the procession, a gathering at Nishtar Park was addressed by Allama Shehanshah Hussain Naqvi. Participants offered Zuhrain prayers on M.A. Jinnah Road in front of Imambargah Ali Raza under the leadership of Maulana Sadiq Jaffery. The arrangements for prayers were managed by Imamia Students.

Strict security measures were implemented along the route. Police, Rangers, CCTV cameras, and snipers on high-rise buildings monitored the procession. A total of 7,507 police officers and personnel, including senior officers, 904 NGOs, and 6,603 constables and head constables, performed duty. The procession was led by Pak Haidery Scouts.

Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar had directed police, Rangers, and law enforcement agencies to ensure security through coordination and to maintain communication with procession organizers. Protection was provided to citizens returning home after processions and gatherings.

Traffic routes from Main Numaish to M.A. Jinnah Road and Kharadar remained closed during the procession. Only the cut near Baba Urdu Chowk was kept open with strict security. Citizens were advised to contact Traffic Helpline 1915 for alternative routes and report any suspicious activity to Police Helpline 15.
