Balochistan Honor Killing: Post-Mortem Confirms Multiple Gunshots, Accused Sent on 2-Day Remand

In the Degari, Balochistan honor killing case, police have secured a two-day physical remand of Bashir Ahmed, the accused named in the FIR. Judicial Magistrate Saifullah Tareen granted the remand after police presented video evidence showing Bashir Ahmed firing at the victims.

The court has handed over the accused to the Serious Crime Investigation Wing for further interrogation.

Meanwhile, at the Balochistan High Court, Chief Justice Rozi Khan Bareech reviewed the case. Additional Chief Secretary for Home Hamza Shafqat, Additional IG Admin Syed Wazir, SP Crime Investigation Wing Saboor, and IO Javed Bazdar submitted a report on the arrests and exhumation process.

Two bodies were exhumed at Degari graveyard near the Qadir Bakhsh Coal Mines by the Police Surgeon Dr. Ayesha Faiz. Autopsy results stated that the woman had suffered 7 gunshot wounds, all to the head, while the man had 9 gunshot injuries, to the chest and abdomen. The woman was about 35–36 years old, and the man was estimated to be 38–39 years old. The incident happened on 4 June 2025.
