Nine passengers killed in a terrorist attack in Sur Dhakan, Mastung district, Balochistan. According to official statements, armed militants stopped a passenger bus, removed selected passengers after verification, and executed them. The incident occurred last night on the N-70 highway despite prior travel restrictions due to a general terror alert.
Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind confirmed that all deceased were from Punjab and shifted to Rekhani Hospital. He said the terrorists targeted passengers based on identity and escaped after the attack, taking advantage of darkness. A search operation is currently underway.
Rind stated that the attackers are believed to be linked to Indian-backed groups and said this incident is being treated as an act against the peace and stability of Pakistan. He emphasized that the government initiated a full-scale crackdown across the region, with strict monitoring of all entry and exit points.

The spokesperson also mentioned earlier attacks in Quetta, Kalat, Mastung, and Loralai, adding that forces responded at each location and remain on high alert. Security agencies are fully mobilized to ensure the safety of public life and infrastructure.
Balochistan CM Condemns Mastung Bus Attack
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti condemned the killings, calling it a crime against Pakistani identity. He said that the killing of passengers traveling to Punjab was an unforgivable act. He added that the state considers this a war and will take decisive measures to eliminate all terrorist networks operating under foreign support.
Security forces continue to comb the region, with full coordination between local law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Authorities have urged citizens to report any suspicious activity as operations continue.
