YouTuber Ducky Bhai (Saad ur Rehman) has been taken into custody at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport. The ducky bhai arrest was carried out by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) over allegations of promoting online gambling applications.
Why Was Ducky Bhai Arrested?
According to the FIR registered on August 17, the case of ducky bhai arrested includes charges under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 and the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The sections applied are 13 (electronic forgery), 14 (electronic fraud), 25 (spamming), 26 (spoofing), 294-B (offering prizes in trade), and 420 (cheating and fraud).
According to authorities, Ducky Bhai advertised gambling applications on his youtube videos including Binomo, 1xBet, Bet365, and B9 Game. The investigation revealed at least 27 video links of which some were later deleted.
Ducky Bhai Arrest and Evidence Collected
They identified the chat with Binomo representatives, suspicious payment history and other financial records showing that he was a participant of gambling promos. The investigators had also claimed that Ducky Bhai was a country manager of Binomo without the necessary permission of the State Bank of Pakistan or Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The FIR claims that the apps misled the public by withholding promised profits, making the ducky bhai arrest part of a wider crackdown on digital fraud and illegal gambling in Pakistan.
Following his arrest, a Lahore court granted NCCIA a two-day physical remand of Ducky Bhai. He is due to appear again on August 19, 2025, when the agency will submit its progress report.
In early 2025, Ducky Bhai was arrested by the Motorway Police over another FIR after he posted a viral stunt video. This was registered under 279 of PPC knowing that; it was a case of rash driving.
The ducky bhai arrest has sparked debate on influencer accountability in Pakistan. The outcome of the case will depend on the evidence presented in court and the NCCIA’s investigation into gambling app promotions.
