Karachi Quintuplets: Two Newborns Die, Family Seeks Prayers for Remaining Three

The two babies out of five that have been born at once are dead in a rare case of multiple births in Baldia Town, Karachi. The other three newborn babies, who are girls, are in critical state and are undergoing treatment at the Neonatal Intensive Care unit (NICU).

Hospital sources revealed that the quintuplets were born at 29-week gestation. The two deceased infants were males. The doctors established that the premature children were underweight and their lungs were poorly developed hence needed instant oxygen supply at birth.

It was an early delivery in the eighth month of pregnancy by the couple in their early years of marriage. According to medical personnel, preterm births prior to 36 weeks normally result in issues like trouble breathing, infections and underdeveloped organs.

The three surviving babies are under strict observation in NICU. Their treatment is ongoing, and medical teams are monitoring their condition closely.

The family has requested the public for prayers for the survival of the remaining infants.
