Pakistani journalist Khawar Hussain found dead on Saturday night of August 16, 2025 outside of a restaurant on Hyderabad Road and Sanghar. The case of the journalist, Khawar Hussain death, has triggered the question whether it was suicide or was it a targeted killing.
According to police, Khawar Hussain was seated in the driver’s seat with a pistol in his hand when discovered. CCTV footage showed the journalist Khawar Hussain entering and exiting the restaurant twice before returning to his car. No other individual was captured in the footage.

The first post-mortem report published on 17 August 2025, showed that the bullet was of Khawar Hussain own pistol indicating suicide. Forensic teams are, however, still testing all their pieces of evidence to ensure that the murder case of the Khawar Hussain journalist is closed.
