Gunship helicopters of Pakistan’s security forces carried out a targeted operation in Kohat Division, killing 15 terrorists and destroying multiple hideouts in the region.
The action was conducted in the border areas of Hangu, Orakzai, and Lower Kurram. According to Regional Police Officer Abbas Majeed Marwat, major operations were executed in the mountainous zones of Chappri, Kunda, Shanawari, Zargari, and Naryab.
During the operation, gunship helicopters shelled identified terrorist bases, resulting in the deaths of 15 terrorists and injuries to several others. The RPO confirmed that multiple terrorist hideouts were destroyed.
Officials reported that terrorists were seen escaping towards mountainous areas during the helicopter strikes. Over 200 personnel from the Pakistan Army and police participated in the coordinated ground and aerial action.
A separate search operation was also conducted in the no-go area of Koh-e-Maidan. Authorities claim the area has now been cleared of terrorist presence.
