Sindh Government Announces Grand 14 August Celebration in Karachi and All Districts

The Sindh government announced a province-wide plan for 14 August celebration in Karachi and other districts, following a high-level meeting chaired by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. The meeting focused on preparations for Independence Day and “Ma’rakah-e-Haq” events.

Provincial ministers Nasir Hussain Shah, Saeed Ghani, Zulfiqar Shah, special assistants Qasim Naveed Qamar and Qasim Soomro, along with officials Ahmed Shah from the Arts Council and Information Secretary Nadeem ur Rehman Memon, attended the meeting.

The meeting decided to decorate public buildings, roads, buses, trains, markets, and public places with national flags, lights, and banners. A large-scale media campaign is launched to attract the public to the 14-August celebrations in Karachi and other districts of Sindh.

Nasir Hussain Shah added that Independence Day will also include public service activities such as tree planting, cleanliness drives, blood donation, and social action. Saeed Ghani announced that they will hold events at the ward, UC, and town levels.

Public rallies, patriotic song nights, and youth sports competitions will also be part of the 14 August celebration in Karachi. Cultural programs will feature poetry, qawwali, and theatre performances by schools, colleges, and art groups to promote Sindh’s heritage.
