Police have arrested the main suspects in the murder case of madrassa student Farhan in Swat’s Chalyar Khwazakhela area. The key accused, Qari Umar, and his son Ehsan, were taken into custody after being on the run since the incident.
According to DPO Swat Muhammad Umar Khan, the 21 July 2025 incident involved the brutal killing of a madrassa student. Ten individuals were arrested on the spot, while the main suspects had managed to escape.
The Swat police launched a targeted operation and arrested the father-son duo after continuous efforts. DPO confirmed the arrests and stated that further case details will be shared following the investigation.
DPO also addressed circulating rumours, stating that reports about the suspect being stabbed are false. He confirmed the suspects will be presented before the media once the investigation concludes.
