Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel reacted strongly on social media platform X, stating that the teacher’s beating led to the child’s death in Swat madrassa. He expressed deep sorrow, saying he was shocked after seeing images of the child’s bruised back and the lifeless body.
Maulana Tariq Jameel said Islam does not allow such actions. He said the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) never taught this way. He added that madrassas make Hifz students teachers right after they finish. They don’t give them any training. As a result, these teachers often use violence without limits.
He also highlighted that many parents focus only on their child becoming a Hafiz, even if it involves physical abuse, which he said does not lead to real religious guidance or character building.
On 21st July 2025, 14 year 14-year-old boy, Farhan killed and tortured by a madrassa teacher in Swat. The latest investigation reports reveal that the son of the administrator of the Madrassa demanded improper things as disclosed by Farhan’s uncle. Farhan mutilated body taken to Khwazakhela Hospital, which triggered the police investigation. Till now, 11 people have been arrested, and the madrassa has been sealed.
