The federal government has started accepting the hajj applications and dates are also announced. Mufti Abdul Shakoor announced this in a press conference after the committee accepted the hajj policy 2023 with federal cabinet.
Application process will initiate on 16 March Thursday and will end on 31 March Friday. The draw for application of hajj will take place from first week of April. Interested Applicants are required to read the documents.
Minister said,” Global recession has affected both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia alike. Due to dollar increase rate cost of hajj under government scheme has increased by RS 3 lac.” He also added that sponsorship scheme has been approved, and full quota scheme is utilized.
Out of $284 million, $194 million will provide successful execution for this year’s Hajj scheme. The finance minister has confirmed to cover the remaining cost.
