Hajj 2025 has begun as millions of pilgrims from across the globe arrived in Mina’s tent city, marking the start of the sacred pilgrimage. This annual Islamic event, one of the largest religious gatherings, started with worshippers performing key rituals in preparation for Arafah Day 2025, the pinnacle of the Hajj journey.
On 4th June 2025, pilgrims in Mina offered the Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha prayers. They spent the night in Qur’an recitation, repentance, and seeking forgiveness. This spiritual atmosphere set the tone for the upcoming Hajj Khutbah 2025, delivered at the historic Nimra Mosque in Arafat. After Fajr on Thursday, pilgrims head to the Arafat plains for the essential “standing at Arafat” ritual — a powerful moment of reflection and prayer at the heart of the Hajj journey.
The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs ensured a smooth experience for Hajj 2025 pilgrims by completing all preparations at Nimra Mosque and the Arafat plains. The mosque’s large area of 125,000 square meters covered with comfortable carpets to create a peaceful worship environment. Additionally, 117 misting fans installed to keep the atmosphere cool, lowering temperatures by an average of 9 degrees Celsius. This helps enhance comfort during the intense rituals of Arafah Day 2025.
