The International Astronomical Center (IAC) has announced officially the date for the holy month of Ramadan 2022. Holy month to fall on 2nd April in most of the Muslim countries.

The director of IAC, Eng Mohammed Shawkat Odeh said the month of Shaban started on 4th march 2022. The crescent of Ramadan will fall on 29th Shaban 1443 Hijri year corresponding to April 1.

Hence it is possible to see the moon from the Islamic world on Friday. Due to the co-occurrence before sunset and setting of the moon in most Islamic regions, it is expected for Islamic countries to announce the start of the holy month the next day which will be Saturday, April 2 for the next 30 days, he additionally added.
