The meeting for the Ramadan moon sighting in Australia will take place on 1 April 2022.
The National Moon Sighting Committee of Australia will announce the start date of Ramadan after holding a meeting on Thursday. However, the meeting will presided over by the Grand Mufti of Australia, the state minister for religious affairs.
If a Ramadan crescent moon appears anywhere in Australia, citizens are ask to report their findings to their local deputy commissioner or district officer or contact the authorities. However, the other official department, the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) will confirm moon sighting as soon as the crescent will spotted under conditions using sophisticated imaging technology.
