The meeting for the Ramadan moon sighting in Bangladesh will take place on 2 April 2022 (today).
The National Moon Sighting Committee of Bangladesh will announce the start date of Ramadan after holding a meeting on Thursday. However, meeting will be held in the conference room of the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram office in the capital around 6:30pm after Maghrib prayers.
If a Ramadan crescent moon appears anywhere in Bangladesh, citizens are ask to report their findings to their local deputy commissioner or contact the authorities. However, State Minister for Religious Affairs Faridul Haque will preside over the meeting. He will confirm moon sighting as soon as the crescent will spotted under conditions using sophisticated imaging technology.
