The meeting for the Ramadan moon sighting in India will take place on 2 April 2022 (today).
The National Moon Sighting Committee of India will announce the start date of Ramadan after holding a meeting on Thursday. However, India’s Ruet-e-Hilal committee members will gather on Saturday after maghrib i.e. evening prayers to sight the crescent moon for the month of Ramadan.
If a Ramadan crescent moon appears anywhere in India, citizens are ask to report their findings to their local deputy commissioner or district officer or contact the authorities. However, the official sources will confirm moon sighting as soon as the crescent will spotted under conditions using sophisticated imaging technology.
