Shab-e-Barat, the night of forgiveness is observing in Pakistan as well as many Muslims countries of the world

Shab-e-Barat is one of the most significant nights among Muslims. Every year between 14 and 15 Shaban this night is celebrated. As it is celebrated in all Muslim countries around the world people call it by different names as Nassif Shaban, Nosufo Sabin, Barat Kandeli in South Asia, Indonesia, Malaysia respectively.

It is counted as a night when the fate of the people is decided for the coming year

On his night the fate is consider to be decide for upcoming years. Therefore, Allah forgives sinners. For all Muslims, Shab-e-Barat is the night of forgiveness. Muslims pray all night to seek Allah’s mercy and ask forgivenessby reciting Holy Quran, Masnoon Duaen and by performing Aamal.

For enlighten the greatness of Shaban  Aishah bint Abu Bakr (R.A.) reported that:

The Messenger of Allah did not fast in any month of the year more than he did in Shaban. He used to fast all of Shaban. (An-Nasai: 2180)

On these nigh sweets and other dishes distributed to celebrate it. People pray to Jamaat-ul-Allah. Men visit the cemetery and pray for the late spirit. Mosques and houses decorated with lights. People keep fast on 15 Shaban.

To avoid coronavirus rapid growth in Pakistan mass gatherings are prohibited as a precautionary measure. It is urged by the government to maintain social distance.
