Portrait of Malala Yousufzai Unveiled at London Gallery


The portrait of youngest Nobel prize winner Malala Yousafzai has been unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

Proud father of Malala Yousufzai, Ziauddin Yousafzai took to Twitter to announce the great news.

Ziauddin Yousafzai shared that the portrait of Malala Yousufzai by Shirin Nishat has a poem inscribed on it which is written by Pushto poet Rahmat Shah Sayel.

“We are grateful to the artist for creating this wonderful piece of art depicting strength, resilience and courage,” he wrote.

Malala Yousufzai is currently studying at Oxford University. She is recognized worldwide for her bravery and is the inspiration for young girls. She is an advocate for girls’ education.

She rose to fame when she survived a gunshot from Taliban in 2012 while sitting in her school bus in Swat valley.
