Fashion extravaganza and style spectacle of Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) in exclusive alliance with the evergreen, Sunsilk brand commenced 10th year of PSFW’19 and 20th consecutive fashion show at the Nishat Emporium Mall, Lahore.
Together, Sunsilk and PFDC aimed at bringing forth contemporary fashion and hair trend vogue to life and at opening several possibilities for anyone who wishes to pursue career within the fashion industry of Pakistan.
This year PFDC also collaborated with the Trade Development Authority Pakistan to excel the channel of communication with international buyers and further our export stats.
Prominent buyers who attended the TEXPO, 2019 included Uniqlo Co Ltd (Japan), Target Inc (USA), Primark (UK), Orient International Holding (China), Tendam (Spain), Versaudet (France), Ituri (Spain), Fashionlinq BV (the Netherlands) and others.
Year on year, the Sunsilk has served as the title sponsor of PFDC to represent season’s varying & trending look books and to communicate that Styling and Vogue remain incomplete until unique hair fashions are dressed on.
Asima Haq, Director Personal Care at Unilever spoke about the brand’s bonded partnership with PFDC and her statement couldn’t be more encouraging.

Sunsilk & PFDC continued to stand with industry professionals and designers to make an immersive and unique experience to bring the super creative talents of Pakistani designers in limelight. However this year, Sunsilk decided to initiate a unique motto which buzzed heavens all across the social media by inviting several online influencers and divas to express their passion and concern for fashion industry in Pakistan.
Sunsilk also gave these attending influencers a chance to experiment with their hair at its quirky and edgy pop-up salon curated by RAKA Events. The salon was buzzing with excited influencers prior to the show who had their hair styled according to varying contemporary trends, may it be big hair up-dos or funky braids, which added an extra oomph to the fashionable ensembles that they wore under provided statements of Let Hair Do The Talking and Fashion is You.
Sunsilk made it way bigger than we ever imagined it to be.
The seven life-size Sunsilk Fashion Edition bottles, designed by seven illustrious designers under the overarching ‘Fashion is you’ theme, were also displayed at the exhibition area of the venue, serving as an interesting picture-moment opportunity for all attendees.
Prominent celebrities and media members including stylists, fashion influencers and key buyers attended the three fashion-filled days as they thoroughly enjoyed getting their hair done at the pop-up salon curated by RAKA events on the PFDC platform.
PFDC’19 was sponsored by Sunsilk and coincided with the launch of Sunsilk’s Fashion Edition Shampoo.
