The seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) kicked off with an entertaining opening ceremony at National Stadium Karachi.
The ceremony began with a thematic videoshowcasing the journey of Pakistan cricket. The official anthem of PSL 7 was performed live by Atif Aslam and Aima Baig who got the crowd singing to the tune
Perhaps the most notable activity of the ceremony was the epic stunt performed by three paratroopers from Austriawho are Red Bull athletes. Florian Greger, Paul Steiner, and Stefan Muller taking flight in the military Mi-17 made a grand entrance at the National Stadium Karachi, from about 5000 feet in the air and handed over the official match ball to the umpires.
PCB Chairman, Ramiz Raja along with Prime Minister Imran Khan graced the ceremony via video message.
Prime Minister Imran Khan�s special message to PSL teams was also played during the ceremony, followed by a great display of fireworks.
�I�m opening the seventh PSL and I hope every team fights till the last ball and entertains the public,� PM Imran Khan said in the video message.
The opening ceremony was positively received by Pakistanis with a lot of them sharing positive sentiments across various social media platforms.
