Sepoy Maqbool Hussain, a brave soldier and one of the heroes of 1965 War laid to rest with great military honors.
Sepoy Maqbool Hussain, laid to rest as he breathed his last at Combined Military Hospital or CMH Attock. Sitara-e-Jurrat recipient Sepoy Maqbool Hussain passed away at CMH Attock yesterday.
In 1965 War, he got injured and later impriosnd by Indian forces. However, he remained in imprisonment till 40 years until his release in 2005. He received Sitara-e-Jurrat for his bravery in 2009.
People from different walk of life showed condolence on her his death. Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major Asif Ghafoor, gave statement about his death. He said that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) expressed his grief and condolence on the demise of Sepoy Maqbool Hussain.
According to ISPR, his funeral prayer will be offered on Wednesday (today). Later, he will be laid to rest with full military honors.
The 1965 War is widely acknowledged for the bravery and sacrifices of Pakistani forces and nation. Pakistan won the war by defeating the enemy much better than in resources and military power.
