Federal Government Declares Public Holiday Eid Milad un Nabi 2025
The federal government confirmed that September 6, 2025, will be observed as a public holiday Eid Milad un Nabi 2025. The Cabinet Division notification stated that all federal ministries and offices will remain closed. The date coincides with the 12 Rabi ul Awal 2025 date.
Sindh Announces Two-Day Holiday for 12 Rabi ul Awal 2025 Date
The Sindh government issued a notification declaring September 5 and 6, 2025, as holidays for Eid Milad un Nabi. All state institutions and schools will be closed, emergency and flood assistance will be maintained. This decision was made to facilitate religious gatherings on the 12 Rabi ul Awal date 2025.
Punjab Holiday Schedule for Eid Milad un Nabi
The Punjab government also announced September 6, 2025, as a holiday on account of Eid Milad un Nabi. Offices, educational institutions, and provincial departments will remain closed. With Sunday, September 7, already a weekly holiday, Punjab residents will have two consecutive days off in line with the 12 Rabi ul Awal 2025 date.
12 Rabi ul Awal Date 2025 Confirmed
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced that Rabi ul Awal 2025 date will be on Saturday, September 6. The day will be celebrated across the country through religious processions, meetings and activities to remember the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Traffic restrictions in Karachi on 11 and 12 Rabi ul Awal 2025 declared so that smooth processions are held on the occasion of Eid Milad un Nabi. This is likely to be done in other large cities in Pakistan.
